The PC-9801 US is a model in the PC-9800 series. It's both the last of the 386 machines, but also the last compact "U-line" computer.

Hardware

The PC-9801 US is the last of NEC's compact computers, with all the same characteristics as the previous models; 2 Expansion Slots, 3½-inch floppy disk drives and an integrated Sound Board, both of which have become common practice by now. The most unique aspect in the PC-9801 US is the extra 98 Note standard expansion slot it has at the front of the machine.
