The RAU-30 is an adaptor that allows consoles such as the PC Engine SuperGrafx to connect to a CD-ROM² system.

Unlike the original PC Engine and many of its hardware revisions, the SuperGrafx is too bulky to fit into an Interface Unit, and thus communicate with the CD-ROM². The RAU-30 solves this problem by acting as a glorified connector cable, albeit one whose connector is PC Engine-sized. It is considered an inelegant solution to the problem - the Super CD-ROM² is designed in such a way that neither a RAU-30 nor a Interface Unit is needed to play CD games on a SuperGrafx.
