Broken pages

I had to rename a few images more than once, and the pages they are used no longer work. Any ideas?

FIXED! I created edit links for the two pages and corrected all the image URLs. They then saved and now load fine. Matt (talk) 05:39, 6 February 2018 (CST)

Sub-page idea

Here's an idea of a sub-page we could have for NEC Retro: those that show how CD-ROM² games would react to certain types of System Cards being used?

My idea for it is that it would be similar in layout to the region coding pages on Sega Retro, showing what happens when CD-ROM² games are loaded with specific types of System Card. Of course, it would be a bit boring with regular CD-ROM² games as they'll work with even the bare minimum, but the real interest lies in Super and Arcade CD-ROM² games, because from what I've discovered while making all those hidden content pages not every Super CD-ROM² game would display a cute error screen if the wrong card was inserted. Some games would just boot into a black screen on startup or endlessly loop back to the BIOS, and in very rare cases (like Black Hole Assault, for example) a game would still boot anyway but would be horribly broken. That said, there's even cases of Super CD-ROM² games having Arcade Card enhancements so those can be shown too.

The one thing I'm not sure about with this idea is what to call the pages - 'Card coding'? 'Card compatibility'? VGMuseum.com already has a vast collection of System Card error screens for CD-ROM² games (some are even animated GIFs too), but who's to say we can't do our own spin on documenting them? --SorachiJirachi (talk) 08:31, 21 January 2022 (EST)

"Card compatibility" (or "System Card compatibility", depending on the official name) sounds good to me :) -Black Squirrel (talk) 09:42, 21 January 2022 (EST)
"System Card compatibility" was something I did think of and has what I think is the official name, but I think it's a bit of a long name. In any case, I can get the necessary templates made and put it on the list of things to do after the hidden content project. --SorachiJirachi (talk) 10:33, 21 January 2022 (EST)
Given that you've altered the System Card template to share a template with a PC-88 compatibility table, I've been thinking...maybe "Card compatibility" and "PC-88 compatibility" could all be unified to the same sub-page name (e.g. "Compatibility") so things are not split up too much with sub-page types, or would those pages get too messy in the context of multi-platform games? --SorachiJirachi (talk) 08:28, 25 February 2022 (EST)
Yeah that might be better - we could always sub-divide the page further if we encounter games with 3427032894023 versions -Black Squirrel (talk) 08:46, 25 February 2022 (EST)
