The PC-98XL² is a model released as part of the PC-9800 series. It's the successor to PC-98XL and is the first 32-bit computer in the PC-9800 series.

Hardware
The PC-98XL² was a high end workstation. Building off of the developements introduced in with the PC-98XL, the PC-98XL² had 2 modes: a High-Res mode and a Normal mode. The main difference between it and its predecessors is its adoptions of an 80386 processor nearly a year before it made its way to the main PC-9800 series.
