The Vistar (바이스타), released by Haitai Electronics is a South Korean variant of the PC Engine.
Very little about the Vistar is currently understood, as copyright laws and Japanese-Korean relations where not always straightfoward in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It is assumed that Haitai produced these Korean-made Vistar machines for the Korean market under license from NEC, however given the company's history of producing licensed Famciom hardware (the official Nintendo relationship being with Hyundai), the Vistar could just as easily be an unlicensed system.
