The Print Booster (プリントブースタ) is a printer peripheral for the PC Engine. It is designed for use with Artist Tool.
Hardware
The Printer Booster plugs into the rear of a PC Engine, though may also plug into a CoreGrafx or a SuperGrafx. The peripheral requires its own AC adaptor to operate, meaning that in order to use it, two sockets will be occupied by the console.
In order to print images, the Printer Booster uses a felt pen, which is inserted at the top, then the user will need to feed a B5 sheet of paper into the printer, after which Artist Tool can then communicate with the printer to send images to print. The top of the unit also has a connector for use with the Photo Reader, allowing the Print Booster to be used as a scanner.
