The PC-8000 series (PC-8000シリーズ) is a range of computers manufactured between May 1979 and 198x by NEC.

Starting with the PC-8001 and continuing with the PC-8001 mkII and PC-8001 mkII SR, the PC-8000 series encompasses the first major attempt at NEC to develop a "standard" for the broadening market of Japanese home computers.

Support for the PC-8000 was largely dropped at the arrival of the PC-6000 series and PC-8800 series in 1981, although early PC-8800 machines are compatible with PC-8001 software.
