''Psychosis'' is a horizontal shooter through five stages taking place within the player's mind, using the D-Pad to move the player's ship and the {{II}} button to shoot. Collecting certain power-up items (W, T or B) will summon two indestructible satellites that will orbit the main ship. These satellites can be used as a form of defense against enemy bullets, and their positions can be rotated clockwise by pressing {{I}}. The items collected will also empower these satellites with different weapons, and collecting more of the same kind of item will increase the associated weapon's attack power.
