Special select room
Play the single player game and get a high score of at least 300 points, then reset (HOLD RUN SELECT ). Without pressing any buttons, wait for the demo to play and let it play out fully. When the title screen reappears, hold ↓+Ⅰ+Ⅱ+ SELECT before the menu appears, then press RUN while keeping the other buttons held down. When the intro cutscene appears, press and hold RUN , and the screen above should appear[1].
This screen features a level select and a power-up toggle. Use ↑ and ↓ to select an option, Ⅰ to increment a value, and Ⅱ to decrement a value. To start the game, press RUN .
Sound test
Enter "BOMSOUND" as a password. The game will register it as an invalid password. Next, enter any valid password and the sound test will appear[1]. Press Ⅰ and Ⅱ to change the sound number, and press RUN to play the sound. To exit, reset the system.

Special bonus items that award points will appear in a random location on the map if the player meets certain conditions in any stage. Below are the hidden items and their respective requirements[2]:
