Populous (ポピュラス) is a strategy simulation game originally developed for the Amiga by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts. The game was ported to the PC-9801 VM and PC-9801 UV courtesy of Imagineer, and to the PC Engine by Hudson Soft, both versions released exclusively for the Japanese market.

Gameplay
In Populous, players play as a deity who controls land to affect peoples's lives in the hopes of crushing followers of another deity. The game is played from an isometric perspective, although unlike later attempts at simulations (such as SimCity 2000), there is no scrolling.
