The PC-8801 FA is a computer released as part of the PC-8800 series in 1987.
Hardware
The PC-8801 FA is an upgrade over the previous years' PC-8801 mkII FH, with the only major change being improved sound capabilities. It was released around the same time as the PC-8801 mkII MH's upgrade, the PC-8801 MA). Unlike the older FH, only one configuration of the FA was made available, which offered two double-density 5¼-inch disk drives as standard.
Very little software exists that makes use of the FA. Games would continue to target the more widespread PC-8801 mkII SR.
