Ys: Ancient Ys Vanished Omen, often known simply as Ys (イース), is the first release in Nihon Falcom's Ys series of RPGs. It was originally released for PC-8801 mkII SR hardware in 1987.

Differences between the cover art and in-game title screen of the first Ys game is also known as Ys: Ancient Ys Vanished, seemingly solidified with the release of the game's sequel, Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished The Final Chapter. However, as the first game's title screen was never "corrected" in any subsequent ports, both see widespread use. Furthermore the game is often re-titled Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished Omen or Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished when paired with its sequel(s).
