Level select + extra power/speed
After powering on or resetting the system, press HOLD ↑Ⅱ x8 while the enemy is talking, then HOLD ↓Ⅰ x8 while the protagonist is talking, then press either of the following buttons 0-4 times while the title bounces to change the respective value (do not press more than 4 times)[1]:
- Press Ⅰ to adjust starting power.
- Press Ⅱ to adjust starting speed.
- Press SELECT to choose a starting stage.
