Arale no Jump Up (アラレのJump up) is a game for the PC-8001 mkII featuring the character Arale from Akira Toriyama's Dr. Slump series.
It is a nice and peaceful day in Penguin Village today. Arale-Chan said, "Whoo-hoo~!". She ran through in the village at Mach 1.0 speed. When she arrived at the edge of the village, everyone in Penguin Village had gathered to chat. To their surprise, a strange castle had been built there overnight. Arale-Chan, not heeding Dr. Senbei's warning, opened the door, said, "Uncha!" and opened the door and went inside. Once inside, she found herself on the fifth floor, with strange ladders and piston-like things. She looked at the wall and saw the face of a monster with a big mouth open. What a creepy place! Yes, this was the "Piston House" built by Dr. Mashirito. Arale-Chan looked at this house and said, "Yay! A new home," she said as she climbed up the ladder. When she reached the halfway point, she was attacked from above by many King Niko-Chan and his friends Donbe, Dodongadon, Tama, and Caramel Man, who were chattering away. Niko-Chan and his friends, who are usually pleasant to be around, have become Dr. Mashirito's minions and come at her with scary looks on their faces. Arale-Chan said, "Yay! She jumped on the piston as hard as she could, and Nico-Chan, who was on top of him, fainted. Arale-Chan rushes upstairs and kicks the unconscious Niko-Chan off the piston, which hits the wall and disappears. Arale-Chan became more and more fascinated by the fun of defeating Niko-Chan and his friends. After defeating Niko-Chan and his friends one after another, the top rung of the ladder came down. Arale-Chan excitedly climbed up to the next room. Niko-Chan has an energy absorber, created by Dr. Mashirito, that will drain her energy if she is caught. However, Robocrane, Dr. Senbei, Gat-Chan, and Obotchaman-kun have Robovitan A, so they will surely come to her rescue. Go Arale!!
The game takes place in a piston house built by Dr. Mashirito. The house has five floors, equipped with pistons that move in various ways and stairs of various shapes. You have to control Arale-Chan and use ladders and pistons to knock out Niko-Chan, Caramel Man, Dr. Mashirito, etc., and then kick them to the ground. Some screens have entrances that warp into walls, so if you are not careful, you will be knocked down. When all the enemies are defeated, a ladder will come down to the top floor. You can move on to the next room. You will find a variety of tools such as pistons with different characteristics, laser beams, and pitfalls, so please make full use of them to eliminate the enemies. Many of the popular characters from Penguin Village are also featured in the game. Now press the return key. The game starts.
The Normal Piston (Green Piston) Works when you jump above or below.
Constant Amplitude Piston (Red Piston) One piston is always in amplitude, and if someone is hit by it, the piston stops, but the pistons in other places start to amplify.
Continuous Piston (Red Piston) The pistons are arranged vertically, and when you JUMP at one of them, the amplitude is transmitted to the upper and lower pistons one after another.
There are also pistons with various other characteristics. Please learn the technique as soon as possible.
Beam Switch When you jump on a beam switch, a beam is sent to the floor above it and the enemy is stunned. However, not all enemies will be stunned because they will jump and dodge the beam when it comes.
Pitfall Switch When you JUMP to the pitfall switch, a hole will open on the floor immediately to the right of the switch, and it will return to normal when you JUMP again. If you JUMP on the switch while an enemy is on it, a hole will open on the floor, and the enemy will fall down and be stunned.
Piston Switch If you JUMP on the piston switch, the piston near the switch may go up or down.
1. JUMP from below to stun 50 points 2. JUMP from above to stun an enemy. 100 points 3. Kick a stunned enemy to crush him. 200 points 4.BONUS If you get over 10,000 points, one Robobitan A will be added. There are other ways to increase the number of Robovitan A, but the number cannot be more than 5. If you get a butterfly, your score will increase and all pistons will move. Score increases when an angel is captured. If an enemy takes an angel, all of the enemy's stunned items will be recovered. If you take a poop-kun, your score will increase and your enemies will JUMP 1 at a time. Various other BONUS scores are available. 5.SPECIAL BONUS 9000 points When you take 5 letters of "ARALE", the letters you took will be displayed on the upper right corner of the screen. In addition, all enemies will faint.
