Akumajyo Dracula Peke
While most other Super CD-ROM² games would display a non-playable error screen if the wrong System Card was used, Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo instead loads a playable joke mini-game known as "Akumajyo Dracula Peke" (あくまぢょお どらきゅら ぺけ) if it detects the wrong System Card.
The player controls a cartoonish Richter Belmont and defeats purple creatures with the Vampire Killer, and is then greeted by a cartoonish Maria Renard and a message instructing the player to reset the game and insert the Super System Card. The track "Op.13" plays throughout this mini-game.
In the Wii Virtual Console release, this mini-game can be accessed by resetting the game via the HOME Menu while holding ↖+1+2 on a Wii Remote (held horizontally) or ↖+A+B on a Classic Controller. A translated version of the mini-game was also included in Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles as a bonus unlockable, and in Castlevania Requiem as an Easter egg accessed by entering the Konami code on the title screen.
Stage select
Create a new file and enter "0" as a file name to enable the stage select option with all stages available when starting the file.
This password would later be used to unlock High Luck mode in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
When loading a file, hold ←+Ⅱ+ SELECT + RUN on Pad 2 (requires a PC Engine Senyou Multi Tap) and select "Game Start" using Pad 1. This will start the selected stage from the corridor before its boss.
If this cheat is done on Stage 0, an end-of-demo message will be displayed, as shown above. Pressing RUN on this message will fade out the screen and reset the game to the Konami logo[1].
