TurboGrafx-16

The TurboGrafx-16 version adds a ™ symbol to the title, renames "VS GAME" to "COM-LINK" while dropping the unique graphic, and updates the copyright date.

TurboGrafx-16

The TurboGrafx-16 version drops all vowels and the letter Y from the password screen. This results in the TurboGrafx-16 version having different passwords from the PC Engine, though all passwords still map directly to the PC Engine version (e.g. A=B, B=C, C=D, D=F, etc.). As the PC Engine version never uses letters U through Z, no information is lost.

Eyecatches

Various eyecatches displayed after defeating a boss were either edited or redrawn completely to remove Japanese cultural references.

For boss 4's eyecatch, Bomberman's onigiri (rice ball) was replaced with a donut.

For boss 5's eyecatch, Bomberman's imitation kanikama (crab sticks) and beer mug were removed. Instead, Bomberman holds up double V-signs.

TurboGrafx-16

Boss 6's eyecatch in the PC Engine displayed Bomberman and Grumpus sharing a kotatsu, a heated table/futon. This eyecatch was completely redrawn in the TurboGrafx-16 version, instead showing Bomberman sleeping in Grumpus' lap.
