The PC-100 is a home computer released by NEC in October 1983.

Hardware
The PC-100 is a unique entry in NEC's product catalogue, as rather than opt for tactics usually associated with the IBM PC (and NEC's own computers, the PC-8800 series and PC-9800 series in particular), it followed in the footsteps of the Apple Lisa and later Apple Macintosh, offering a high-resolution monochrome display manipulated primarily through a graphical user interface, as opposed to command line interfaces such as BASIC, CP/M or DOS.
As well as shipping with a keyboard, the PC-100 also included a mouse. Its colour monitor, the PC-KD651 can be orientated both horizontally and vertically.
