Rainbow Islands (レインボーアイランド ) is a sequel to Bubble Bobble, originally released for Arcades by Taito in 1987 and ported to CD-ROM² hardware by NEC Avenue six years later as the last game to be released for the format, with all CD-based PC Engine games from this point onward being Super or Arcade CD-ROM² releases. This version was never released outside Japan.
