The Mouse for the PC-9800 series of computers is a two-button computer mouse originally released by NEC in 198x. It was originally available in two forms; the PC-9871 "mouse set" and PC-9872 as a stand-alone device (both made by Microsoft), with updates such as the PC-9872L and PC-9872R releasing in the years which followed.

As the PC-9800 range lacked a graphical user interface, no mice were included with this line of computers, so had to be purchased separately. All compatible mice have two buttons, although the resolution (and thus precision of the mouse) was improved in later iterations.

While not used extensively in its early years on sale, towards the end of the 1980s and early 1990s, mice were widely supported in simulation and strategy games, before becoming a standard component of PC-9821 series machines.
