This short article is in need of work. You can help NEC Retro by adding to it.

Darius Alpha (ダライアスα) is a side-scrolling shoot-'em-up game for the PC Engine released as part of the Darius series. It can be enhanced if played on a PC Engine SuperGrafx.

Darius Alpha was offered to those who had, for whatever reason, bought ether the PC Engine or CD-ROM² versions of Darius Plus/Super Darius and mail in a proof of purchase provided in either game. However, it is essentially just a run of bosses found in that game, as opposed to a fully fledged Darius release. Only around 800 copies were ever produced, and as such it is one of the rarest games on the system.
