Password screen
On the title screen, press HOLD Ⅰ+Ⅱ+ SELECT RUN to access a password entry screen. From here, the following passwords can be entered:
Start from level 5
Enter "S.62.08.22" as a password. Perform a software reset (HOLD RUN SELECT ) for the changes to take effect.
Four screen mode + faster speed
Enter "SPEED-UP" as a password. Perform a software reset (HOLD RUN SELECT ) for the changes to take effect.
Hidden messages
Fifteen hidden messages can be accessed using these passwords:

This password references the Studio Ghibli film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

This password references Laputa: Castle in the Sky, another Studio Ghibli film.

UDADAGAWA[2]
Three more passwords, NEC, KUMI.HANAOKA[3] and HARUHISA.UDAGAWA[3], serve to delete whatever message is displayed from any of the passwords above.
