Off the Wall is an arcade game released by Atari Games in 1991. It shares similar gameplay to Atari's classic, Breakout. Tengen developed a PC Engine port, but was quietly cancelled as the manufacturing costs of 8-megabit HuCards were too high as well as the game possibly requiring a paddle controller for optimal play[1]. A prototype has since been found and dumped, while a later build is known to have been in the possession of former Tengen developer Jun Amanai, who posted a gameplay video on YouTube.
No other home versions Off the Wall were ever released (a Game Gear version was planned before also being cancelled), though a similar (but unrelated) Atari 2600 game was released in 1989 by Atari Corporation.
