Dragon Egg! (どらごんEGG!) is a platformer for the PC Engine and the last game to be published by Masaya on the HuCard format.

Story

A long time ago, the land was populated by dragons, and people lived peacefully under the protection of a great dragon. According to legend, the great dragon was tamed by a dragon master and the two vanquished evil together, uniting the kingdom of Königst, which prospered under their guidance. However, this peace came to an end when chaos returned and spread throughout the land, driving the dragons to extinction.

Eran (エラン), a young girl, is the last descendant of the dragon master, and has been entrusted with the last dragon egg and a pair of goggles as legend says that only a dragon master can make the egg hatch. Carrying the egg on her back, Eran sets off to save Königst.

Gameplay

The player controls Eran and her dragon companion. The dragon begins as an egg, which Eran can bash enemies with using , but power-ups can make it hatch and grow until the girl can ride on it. Its attacks and defenses can be upgraded with items bought in shops. On any difficulty above easy, the dragon gets downgraded upon the player's death.
