Cyber Core (サイバーコア) is a shoot-'em-up game for the PC Engine and TurboGrafx-16.
Story
It is the year 2269 A.D. An expeditionary party returns to Earth from a hundred-year voyage in space to discover the planet has been overrun by giant "Hyper Insects". The United Force elects enforcer Rad Ralph (Mellange Kato in the PC Engine version) to deal with this threat and recapture Earth, however human strength alone is not enough - to stand a fighting chance, Rad Ralph must merge with the ultra-life form "Chimera", which turns him into a half-human half-insect creature capable of metamorphosing into more powerful forms capable of matching the insects themselves in power.
