NEC Retro is a wiki covering games we know nothing about. So we need your help.


EASY MODE:

PC Engine and TurboGrafx-16 games (+ CD/Super/Arcade). Documentation already exists, but we can do it better. It's also easier to relate to if you're living in the West. They're pleasant consoles to work with so you might make a new friend.

BORING MODE:

PC-FX. There's not much here (?)

HARD MODE:

NEC's range of computers are poorly documented. Even in Japan the coverage isn't great - in the English speaking world it's pretty much nonexistent.

If you choose to help out with this please please please make sure you've read things properly and are labelling things correctly. PC-8001 =/= PC-8801 =/= PC-6001 mkII =/= PC-6601 SR. The bazillions of PC-88 and PC-98 models can get confusing - most of the internet is wrong, be extremely careful.

MIGHT NOT EVEN BE A MODE:

PC-100 and TK-80. There might not be enough software.

EVERYTHING ELSE:

Emulators, magazines, all sorts of things - see our work on Sega Retro and bring the magic here.

DON'T BOTHER WITH THESE... MODE:

NEC's IBM PC compatibles (i.e. most things after 1995). Capacitors, telephones, projectors, cash registers - we're not covering everything NEC has made since 1899, just video game-related things.
