Aside from the changed title, the TurboGrafx-16 version removes the scrolling clouds and changes the font.

When Bonk eats a small piece of meat and changes to his first powered-up form, he takes on a very feminine appearance in the PC Engine version. The TurboGrafx-16 version replaces it with the appearance he had for his second powered-up form in Bonk's Adventure.

A different Bonk design is used for the credits in the TurboGrafx-16 version, based on the design used for the North American cover art. In addition, the karaoke lyrics displayed as the picture is being drawn were removed from the TurboGrafx-16 version.
