Infinite lives and 9,999 gems
Start a new game and enter the chancellor's house to the left of the top floor in the starting area. While the conversation with the chancellor plays out, rotate the D-Pad about 20 times in a clockwise direction starting from ↑. The overscan area will turn green to confirm correct entry. Leave the chancellor's house, and the gem counter will max out to 9,999 and infinite lives will be enabled.

On the title screen, press HOLD Ⅰ→ x13.
