Start a new game and enter "DEBUG" as a name, then reset. When the title screen appears, start another new game, and select "Yes" when prompted to create new data. A debug menu will appear afterwards, featuring a sound test, a visual test and parameter editors[1].
Start with higher stats and more items
Start a new game and enter "おれはつよい" as a name to start with more stats and items[2].
