The objective of the game is to remove all clothes of a woman to later rape her.
History
Release
Given its subject matter, 177 caused a great deal of controversy upon release in 1986. Its existence became a subject of debate in the Japanese National Diet, which led to the game being recalled and edited with some of the more graphic material removed. Rape has appeared in video games both before and since the release of 177, but for its time, 177 was the most sexually explicit on the market.
Predictably no versions of the game ever left Japan in any form.
