IMAGE was unauthorized developer (either a small group or alias of an individual developer) of PC Engine games.

It only ever developed compilations of ports of reverse-engineered Commodore VIC-20 and NES games.

According to a hidden mailing address, the developer originates from Finland. This made it the only known unauthorised developer in Europe, and one of very few outside of Japan.

Finland was one of few European countries to recieve shipments of PC Engines to be circulated by local distributers. It is unknown if the software developed by Image was circulated domestically, distributed to Japan, or both. It is also possible games could only have be obtained through mail order.

The NES collections feature all different games but Super Mario Bros. It is also a standalone ROM that isn't a collection, which may have been made first before any of the other NES ports.
