NEC Biglobe Inc. (NECビッグローブ株式会社) was the internet division of NEC that co-owned PC Engine-related IP rights with Hudson Soft. The division's portion of the rights originated from NEC Home Electronics, and the earliest mention of NEC Biglobe as a stakeholder dates back to May 2008.[2]
NEC Biglobe split from NEC in April 2014 and renamed itself Biglobe Inc. (ビッグローブ株式会社) Currently, it co-owns the PC Engine brand with Konami.[3]
