Shufflepuck Cafe (シャッフルパック・カフェ) is an air hockey-style game originally released for Macintosh computers by Brøderbund Software in 1988. It was later ported to a variety of home computers, including a PC-9801 VM port in 1989.
Story
The player assumes the role of the most successful Krypton-3 salesman in the galaxy. On the way to close the biggest sale of their career, their Nash Sombrero blows a capacitor in the reactor value, forcing them to exit the Gravway and coast down into the wrong side of town. While looking for a phone to call for a repair sled, the player finds themselves descending into a smoke-filled den of galactic misfits who challenge the player to a few "friendly" games of Shufflepuck to be able to access the telephone.
