The North American version contains a debug menu that cannot be accessed by normal means. To enable it, change addresses 4387A–4387F and A4487A–A4487F of the ISO to "EA EA EA EA EA EA"[1]. The menu options are as follows:
- Movement: A level select. Press ↑ and ↓ to choose a stage and Ⅰ to warp to it.
- LEVEL UP: Raises the party's level by one.
- LEVEL DOWN: Lowers the party's level by one.
- ALL CAST: Unlocks all characters.
- BIG MONEY: Sets current gold to 65,535.
- NO DEAD: Makes the party immortal. Characters will still lose HP, but will not die when they run out.
- HP MAX: Refills the party's HP.
- Indication: Displays coordinates in the HUD. The two numbers on the left form the player's 16-bit X-position, and the numbers on the right are the same for the Y-position.
The debug menu does not exist in the Japanese version.
